When casting resin in molds, there is usually a dip in the top. If you're using the right kind of resin like our Brilliant Resin, you can trim this down using scissors, and add another layer of resin on top.  Brilliant Resin bonds to itself seamlessly, you can dome up right after casting, or even a year later for a professional, shiny finish.

These two are domed up to give the castings a nice, smooth finish, no extra embellishments were added in this top layer of resin.

All the rest have extra elements in the top Domed Up layer.  Here it's a butterfly photo, but this could also be done with a sticker.

In this one I used 2 layers of crinkled Dichro-ISH Fims in the cast layer, and a silhouette of my daughter in the top Domed Up layer.

Here I added a glittery sticker to the Domed Up layer:

And in these two I bent colored wire and embedded that in the top Domed Up layer for added dimension and interest.  You'll see how to do this in our Personalizing Video.

You can also allow the Domed Up layer to thicken up for 1-2 hours, and insert charms or other elements, which will push the resin away and create a ripple effect that reflects the light.
